"Art of the Fold"
A few chapter members checked out a great exhibit at Tallyn's Reach library in the southeast exurbs of Denver a couple of weeks ago. This international show, a homage to book artist and conservator Hedi Kyle and curated by Alicia Bailey, will be on view again June-Aug. in Denver at Regis University. ETHIOPIAN BINDING WEEKEND IN DENVER

Karen Hanmer skillfully introduced us to this early structure - as early as 300 CE! The workshop also introduced some to covering a book with leather and simple cold tooling.
This structure is known for its
distinctive leather endbands
which are sewn to each
folio in the text.
We even had time to
celebrate Pam's birthday!
