Book art fans enjoyed a great presentation
at the University of Denver, March 30
Book Art: One Theme, Three Interpretations
featured open book presentations from Lang Ingalls,
Sammy Lee, and Gail Watson – three artists from the Rocky Mountain
region with varied concentrations and practices in the book arts. Each shared one artwork in detail, exploring the materials,
methods, and meanings involved and revealing their
creative process along the way. Alicia Bailey, owner/director of Abecedarian Gallery introduced the presenters and served as moderator. This event was held in conjunction w/Vessel: the GBW Traveling Exhibit, on display at DU through April. 12
